![]() ![]() In an age of covert, post-modern warfare, the enemy is already inside the gates. Welcome to the 21st century, an age of redefined conflict where the enemy need not announce his presence on the battlefield. I don't care what parts and characters he claims to be real - this was just bad.The theater of war has changed - and so must the rules of engagement. Delusions of grandeur freshly served up by a very disturbed man-child. Not for kids (and a flinching read for adults), and definitely not for those looking for a award winning book. hell, it's like Onision is making his own genre. It's about a kid who gets blown into the world of science-fiction horror mystery. As for the rest of the characters - if they were really in his life, he doesn't do them any favors (and has attacked readers with negative responses to them because they were REAL!). The very underage sexual situations are horrible, even more so considering he insists that he actually experienced them. When he kept insisting the characters were based on real people in his life, I wearily went through the book again. Now for the story: It is a very freaky story coming from a very disorganized mind. That and he insists it's partly autobiographical. It takes away the reader's attention to the story. There are many errors in spelling, punctuation and sentence structure. That being said, my purpose of reading this book was simply to see what kind of energy and imagination this kid has. Onision is a very public YouTuber whose popularity runs the gamut from negative to positive - mostly negative. But it's a rather adult book, so be careful. It also said on Amazon that the book was for 11-18 year old, I would actually recommend this for adults, as there is sexual activity. While he probably should have edited it before releasing it, he did a rather good job. ![]() The fact that you people care about grammar and punctuation is just stupid! The author is just trying to present his own life in this story. It was even more fun because it was short, so I read it no problemo. In the end, he gets together with his girlfriend, reunites with his family and friend, David, and leaves a happily-ever-after. He uses those powers to change the world, defeat God (who was evil in the book) and bring the real God into power. ![]() Eventually, he discovers super powers which is what the aliens were after. Thinking it was a dream at first, he sees actual wounds on his body from the aliens experimenting on him. Reapers Creek is about 11-year old Daniel who is being abducted from his home by aliens. From my point of view, it was worth the read. I got this book interested in why it has such poor ratings. I don't know what you all see in this book. I'd rather re read Stephen Kings Tommy Knockers, and that's saying something. It goes like this - boy at home, boy at school, boy at creek, boy with powers, boy go somewhere (we're never told where) to kill god, boy brings back clone of goddess. Everything moves fast, the book isn't fleshed out at all, there's no world building and the name of the book is irrelevant. Daniel kills a love interests father and 20 pages later she's okay with it. The blurb is basically the "writer" (an I use that term very loosely) beating himself off on the page. The main character is an obvious self insert as the moron forget to edit his name out 3 times in the first chapter! It has elements of aliens, that in no way tie in to the story as, it go on to be about Onision wanting to kill god. I have read wattpad fan fiction that was better than this. I have never seen such a self detriment piece of work like this. ![]()
